Given the lightness of the touch, I'm surprised that I did feel it in my muscles the next day, as I do after a more intense massage, and I was surprised it was effective without the more painful attack on the muscles that I'm used to. – Ruth
Trager for me was an experience of relaxation not just passively into the "ground" but dynamically into a vibration. So the body releases tension and adjusts its tone at the same time. Something that appeals naturally to me as a musician. - Ulrike
I was surprised what an effect such subtle, gentle movements could have, esp. after years of sometimes painful chiropractic adjustments and pretty un-subtle massages. I have definitely carried away from the sessions a new habit of gently moving hands, feet, or any joint that seems too compressed or stressed out. Rather than gripping the muscle or just sitting still when something is uncomfortable.–Sarah
I was walking on the street and not recognizing my own legs, they were so free (still feel good, by the way!) Trager gently changed me so that I feel much better in a permanent way, unlike massage, which can hurt, and which doesn't do anything permanent it seems. – Kathy
Trager gave me the sense that my body had gently returned to a place of lightness and fluidity and how this feeling was also experienced at the mind level. Walking home after the session I could sense a noticeable improvement in my posture. I'm not sure if this was because it had actually corrected slightly or whether it was just due to the 'walking on high' feeling I experienced after the session. Either way it felt great! I have a strong awareness of the interconnection of mind and body now.– Kate
